SCAPE is pleased to announce the first exhibition celebrating the gallery’s 20th Year with new paintings and photographs inspired by the artist’s encounter with the frescoed dining room from the Villa of Livia in the Museo Nazionale Romano Palazzo Massimo in Rome. Il Giardino dei Segreti exhibits 28 artworks, including paintings, photographs, and watercolors, installed on digitally printed murals of multiple-exposure photographs—layered images of the frescoes, gardens in Rome, the artist’s garden, written notes and work in progress—implying an architecture of collective history and memory. The work articulates within this atmospheric setting to celebrate the essential relevance of the primal human connection to the natural world.
